Ressurect shrine bounties seem random after +1!
I'm making this post due to what I have noticed while doing the Snowman dungeon (which also for some odd reason is labelled as Master?).
Anyone who has done this dungeon enough times, will know there are 3 res-shrines throughout the dungeon.
No obviously I get the first bounty at +1 points from the starting res-shrine!
From my experience by the time you reach the second res shrine (accross the bridge) you are given either 40 drawf points, increased to +2 points, or increased to rank +3 points.
The reason I find this strange is because everytime I do this same dungeon, I always kill the same number of creatures (give or take 3 or 4) by the time I reach the 2nd res-shrine. But even at a difference of 3 or 4 creatures how can it vary so much from either giving you 40 points to increasing to +3?
Does this mean there is a another factor (aside from the number of kills) being taken into account when you speak to res-shrines to get bounties?

Obviously when you speak to a res-shrine or the person next to it, you get the starting bounty of +1 right! Usually when you enter an instance or dungeon!
Then you kill some things and you have the choice to speak to the next res-shrine or person when you reach it. Now that will either result in getting points or having your point rewards increased from +2 to +3 to +4 (if it hasnt automatically given you that).
The way I understood it was that it only increased youre +# value if you have killed a certain number of creatures. For instance 75-100 for +2 and so on (estimating).
So there is a pattern and you can work around it to make the bounties work for you! You kill 75 creatures and then speak to the next res-shrine to increase you to +2! You then kill 100 and speak to the shrine to get +3 and so on!
I hope this is making sense...
However in the snowman dungeon it seems off. By the time I reach the second thrine I have killed around 75 creatures give or take. Now I speak to the 2nd shrine and it doesnt seem to follow logic.
Either it gives 40 points, +2 or +3!
It doesnt seem to follow the pattern that I assumed it worked under! So is it random too?
This all works under the assumption you dont just wait for your +# to automatically increase anyway, as it can do! But I tend to speak to shrines to do that earlier!

I usually get +2 at 50. Of course there's no pattern, it's random!

ive been clearing explorables plenty of times with friends, and every time we get a bonus we call it out in the teamchat. It seems like all bonusses are random to each player, be it from 25+ kills or shrines. Ive been stuck on rank1 huntbonus numerous times while my teambuddy who killed just as much foes was at rank3 already.
This isnt special for the snowman dungeon but for every map ive visited.

it's meant to be random.. i've done snowmen many (many, many) times and there's no pattern as far as i can tell.
that's what it says in the wiki as well:
"Talk to the NPCs that grant the hunts after you have made at least 25 kills in the area. More points are awarded if the party has made many kills. At 50 or more kills, the NPC might upgrade the reputation bounty to the next rank instead of providing points."

You understood wrong; it's always been random. Every bonus you get, whether from the shrines or from every 25 kills is completely random. I don't know where anyone got an idea to the contrary.

It's random, clearing fells, sometimes I have r3 by 400 kills, other times r5. And you get rank upgrades from both shrines and getting lots of 25 kills. So no real way to predict.

Would be nice if we could choose what we get from the shrine. I mean, I'm fine with the random bonus from so many kills, but the shrine, c'mon! We're getting rewarded from the reputation scout for our service to them. Shouldn't we be able to say "Hey, I'm done killing today, just give me bonus rep" or "I shall go and slay more, give me a higher rank, please!"
Would be nice.

The random element can be a tad annoying when you're cleaning out an area with several real people. Running around with just a basic blessing and an increased life bonus for a measly 1 point per kill is no fun when your hunting partner is chugging out 8 points at a time at level 3 with a rampage.

The bonuses arent party wide? That seems a bit unfair!

Oh, great... just what we need.
One member gets the 'ramapage' bonus, and starts rampaging, aggroing too much. But the rest won't rush in a similar way.
And one mamber may get rank 4 with 125 deaths, and other may not get them even at 200 deaths.
Another strong reason to make them activate always at 50, 100 and 150.

How odd! I know that every 25 kills I get a random bonus, but I've never had a random at a rez shrine. I have sometimes received a higher rank randomly through the 25 kills=bonus plan, but stopping at a rez shrine always provides me the next rank assuming I killed off the right # of baddies. I heard someone say they once had rank 5, but I've never seen it nor do I know if it was true.

This problem can be solved by the same method I have used for quite some time:
1) watch
2) wait
3) laugh at dead guy

There is a method to it to some extent. The best way i have found to increase your bonuses is to hit up the shrine guys after no less then 50 kills. Which leads to either a 40 (instead of 20 @ 25 kills) or the random +2. Given that you wait till 50 has ALWAYS worked out to the best bonus advantage, incrementing earlier +2, +3, or +4 levels.
You can also try, which i have once, to clear the whole place then talk to each shrine guy/gal getting the 100 point bonuses at each instead of the limited few toward the end. The main problem with this is it seems to make the higher level +# bonuses come at around 200-250, instead of getting them around 150 or so. The bonuses also seems to go in order for the most part, but there have been those rare occasions that you get a +4 very early on and skipping 2&3 altogether.
